Pro tip: if you ever feel lost with this pattern find a YouTube video to answer whatever is confusing you! There are amazing tutorials on almost every stitch and process out there. I’ve tried my hardest to make this pattern as simple and clear as possible. But let me know if you have any questions! Cast on 21 stitches
Turn and crochet into the front loop only for about 26 rows. Cut yarn and bring through last loop, leaving a long tail. Your project should be measuring about 4x6inches
Using your tapestry needle, stitch the edges together to create a tube with vertical ridges.
Thread the needle through the bumps on one end of the tube, drawing tightly together to close.
Now let’s make your flower! It was as simple as looping once around my two fingers and doing 9 single crochets in that same loop, pull together with tail yarn. Make sure to leave the tails so you can knot it easily to your cactus.
Decide where you’d like to place your flower and pull both tails through using your hook. Turn project inside out and tie knot to secure your flower.
Stuff your cactus. And repeat step 3 to close the bottom end. And you’re done! Plant that cutie in your pot and enjoy as decor and/or a pin cushion!
